Seaside scallop
Description:
The freshness of live shellfish is easy to check: they should smell like the sea, but not mud or mustiness. It is also not difficult to clean them: with a strong knife, you need to pry the shell flap, then scrape the meat from the bottom, cut off the lock muscle from the side and remove the dark insides. Note that live scallops can include a delicious and healthy caviar bag, whereas the cleaned product has it removed.
Shellfish meat includes: - iodine – its content here is 150 times higher than in beef, so the product is an excellent prevention of thyroid diseases; - easily digestible proteins; - minimum amount of fats and carbohydrates; - vitamins of group B, C, E; - taurine, which reduces the level of cholesterol in the blood.
